This seems pretty expensive for a basic LCD clock?
"reduced price" = same price as manufacturer? :p

I guess if you need for the niche applications, cool...but deal I don't know.

This display clearly doesn't uses LCD digital or dot maxtrix fonts. Basically a digital photo frame without the feature.

The original price was $80.

These are clocks specifically made for people with alzheimers, dementia, vision issues, etc. They are extremely clear and concise because the user may also have poor vision. One of the residents in my facility has one. They are really quite impressive to see in real life.

After two TIAs, my father lost his vision in his left eye. It became difficult for him to recognize if it was day or night after sleeping. These clocks are absolutely amazing to have because it helps maintain their natural rhythm. The hurdle has always been the crazy price with these things.

If you are an able person with good vision, you may not find this to be a deal. If you know someone with memory loss or vision issues, this is a spectacular clock.

Search amazon for dementia clock. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/s/re...1531545040

It's an OK deal at this price. $80 is over reaching original MSRP

I know. I was pointing out that the application of seeing the time and such may be the same but the atheistic isn't. Cheers.

How is it that there is still a market for a clock that doesn't sync with NTP or even the atomic clock.

Wifi microcontrollers are robust, inexpensive and can handle the clock functions AND low bandwidth wifi.
