SOLD OUT - 7/16/18 8:23 CST

For all those folks who never received an order confirmation from Quill, Buy your printer on Staples for the same price now.

Quick tips as someone that has owned this since April from the last Staples deal, to save you guys some headache.

For iOS: This does NOT support AirPrint. You MUST use Dell's Document Hub [apple.com] for EVERYTHING. You cannot even "share" whatever image or webpage you have to the Dell app.

Printing a webpage? You must copy and paste the link to the built-in browser in the app. Photos? You must navigate to them in the app. EVERYTHING MUST BE DONE THROUGH THE DELL DOCUMENT HUB APP.

For Android: Simply install the Dell Document Hub [google.com] application, set it up once (you do not need an account, simply select "skip this step").

Simply select "Print" from your application (or "Share" --> "Print") and select "Dell Document Hub" as your printer.

Printing wirelessly? Planning to let it powersave ("sleep") and expect it to wake up on command and print? Noppeeeeeee. [giphy.com]

If you plan on NOT power-cycling this printer every time you wish to print wirelessly, then follow these steps here:
https://www.dell.com/support/arti...s-?lang=en
and here (specifically step 2 and 3):
http://thechrismancourier.blogspo...fline.html

You do not need to reinstall drivers or anything every time as some others have claimed. I initially went through this troubleshooting. The printer "Drops off" your network and will only reconnect when power-cycled. It will not reconnect automatically when resuming from sleep.

TL;DR: You MUST assign it a static IP. Enforce this both on the Dell printer UI interface and in your router settings.

Even if you've never done this before for any of your other devices; neither have I. This is only a requirement for this printer, only. Since doing so, I've had an awesome up-time of over 45 days now without rebooting and it still goes to sleep normally now and will wake and print normally without rebooting.

Otherwise if you're fine with powering it off completely and powering it back on when you need to print, then this issue does not apply to you.

Summery for setting up wireless connection for printer: (I believe it's also better to set up static IP even if the printer is connected using ethernet cable)
1. Set up static IP for the printer within router. Steps doing that depends on router model, but they're pretty similar. Assigning a static IP to the MAC address of the printer. MAC address can be found at the back of the printer. You may have to reboot the router.
2. Connect printer to the router. It's better to use router's WPS function for initial connection. Consult printer's manual for how to do that.
3. On router's interface, find IP address for the printer, hope it's what's been set up.
4. On computer browser, go to that IP address. You'll have printer's set up interface. Follow Dell's link and the blog link above to set up static IP for the printer. Here're links for Dell printer's admin username/password: https://www.dell.com/support/arti...ng=en#Four
and https://www.dell.com/support/arti...5n?lang=en
Printer should self power cycle, and get the static IP.
5. On each computer, search and install the printer as network printer. Windows OS should set up IP automatically. If not, right click on the printer icon at "Start -> Devices and Printers", select "Printer Property" -> "Ports", set up the same IP for the printer. Reboot computer.
6. Make sure printer and computer are connected to the same network, in case you have more than one router at home.

A $5 raspberry pi zero (or $10 for the one with built in wifi) will get around many of these restrictions...make the printer a cloud printer and you can print to it from pretty much anywhere. -- FameWolf

Don't think Dell C1760nw has ever been this low! They probably won't ship this.

In for one! I've been looking at the small Brother laser printers, but I think this will do nicely for the price! Are there any "chip" issues with non-dell replacement toner on this printer?

Not bad. These were $85 at staples and people were buying $25 coupons for it. This is even cheaper than that.

Never heard of this site. Any one familiar with it?

Might miss not having a scanner after the fact, but color laser for $50 is pretty good.
