If You Bought an Airline Ticket Between the U.S. and Asia, Australia, New Zealand, or the Pacific Islands,
You Could Receive Money from Class Action Settlements.

Consumers can get money if they bought a ticket for air travel from one of 26 airlines that included at least one flight segment originating in the U.S. to Asia or Oceania at any time between January 1, 2000 and December 1, 2016.

Settlements have been reached with four airlines (Air New Zealand Limited, China Airlines, Ltd., EVA Airways Corporation, and Philippine Airlines, Inc.) in class action lawsuits involving the price of transpacific airline tickets. Separate settlements were previously reached with eight airlines (Air France, Cathay Pacific Airways, Japan Airlines, Malaysian Air, Qantas Airways, Singapore Airlines, Thai Airways, and Vietnam Airlines). The lawsuit is continuing against the remaining airline defendant, All Nippon Airways.

How much money will I receive?

ANSWER:
At this time, it is unknown how much each eligible member of the classes will receive. In order to receive a payment, you will need to file a valid claim form. To save time and money, payments will be made at the conclusion of the case.

Pursuant to the proposed plan of allocation, eligible claims will receive a pro rata share of the applicable settlement funds for each class in which the claim(s) qualify. However, based on the claims that have already been filed, it is estimated that the average payment could be in the range of $8.50 per eligible ticket claimed. This does not include amounts that will be paid on any future settlement or judgment involving ANA. The claims administrator received a large number of claims just before a claims deadline concerning an earlier round of settlements, and these claims have not yet been subjected to audit. As a result, the number of claimed tickets that are determined to be eligible may be reduced, and the corresponding amount of compensation to be allocated among the remaining eligible claims will increase.

Woah, awww I could've sworn is was per segment but guess not. Like if u had to connect thru 3 Asian airports before reaching your destination then it would be 3 tickets/boarding passes, or are they counting the whole roundtrip as just 1 or 2 tickets? Remember this lawsuit years ago...finally ending soon.

I doubt you will even get $8.50 per ticket. It is based on how many people file claims.

Since this goes back to year 2000, Delta actually had flights all the way to Asia on their planes back then.

Not clear on what airlines might be included, but yeah, most of these class action lawsuits are for the benefit of the survival of Law firms, unless of course - you and only you got sucked out of a plane in mid-air - but somehow survived to bring a class action lawsuit against the airlines for not sealing their windows properly.

On further review - seems like Delta is an "Alleged Co-Conspirator" - ApplauseApplause
