Or get 3 one camera kits for $225 which gives you 3 modules. The extra modules cost about $50 separately. Seen them on Ebay for $36.50. The only advantage of the extra modules is you can set different time schedules for each camera.

Say for example you have a car repair business with a camera in front you want armed only after business hours (because of all the cars being driven in and out would run the batteries down in a few days) but a camera out back you want on all business day to watch for deliveries. No way you could do this with one module as the schedule applies to all cameras. With separate modules you can set different schedules.

I want the 3 camera kit so I either have to go with - a 2 camera kit for $140 plus 1 camera kit for $75 = $215 for 3 cameras and 2 modules or go with - 3 one camera kits for $75 = $225 for 3 cameras and 3 modules. Is it worth an extra $10 for a module I won't use but could maybe sell?

The pricing on the 3 camera kit is really stupid as is the single camera without the module for $85. Who wouldn't pay $10 less which includes the module?

One thing to note, with the multiple camera kits. All the cameras and module come together in a single box so if you have a bad camera or module, they will want you return everything. If you buy 3 separate one camera kits and you have a bad camera, the rest of your system is up and working while you send back the camera and module in one box.

Just my 2 cents I have given up on these and am mitigating to Ring.

- Notifications are hit & miss. My biggest issue is they do NOT send you a notification until after your incident has taken place & your video is uploaded to the cloud. If you have your settings for 1 min for example, someone could have easily broken into your house grabbed some of you stuff & by time you're actually able to view the video in the app (few min later, another issue) they'd be gone. Burglars don't just sit around on your property.

- The app is probably my biggest gripe. Each time I get a notification I'm unable to playback the most recent video for around 2-3 minutes. Amazon has said this is an issue w their servers and are working on a fix, but this has been the case for the 6 months I've had these. Also there is no way to change the order of the cameras in the app, they are working on this also.

- Buggy, the cameras & app feel like they are in the beta phase. When setting the video record time (5 seconds to 1 minute) you can adjust the option to end recording early once motion is detected, this is to conserve battery life, however this hardly ever works. Sometimes it does others it doesn't! I've extensively tested this and it's a well known issue as well. All blink can say is we are working on a fix.

- false alarms. These cameras do not use heat sensitivity, but motion. Many false alarms, I've adjusted settings continuously to try to fix & either get nothing recording or everything.

- Video doorbell. Blink had a great video doorbell they were promising in early 18. Amazon bought them and all we know now is "coming soon" still? The product change for the doorbell has not changed since amazon purchase blink since Jan. Also amazon just says there is no timetable. I'm fully expecting it to be canceled.

- Smartthings support was abruptly stopped. Not compatible.

In my opinion these cameras aren't even worth this price. Too many issues & with the acquisition by amazon To me at least, with the lack of updates since being purchased by amazon & lack of commitment to other new product releases, as well as various price drops it just seems amazon is trying to clear out their inventory. Amazon seems much more committed to the ring ecosystem, with the timely updates, customer support & release of the ring alarm system.

If you must have wireless look into other options like arlo. The first & even second gen systems are pretty affordable now. I've been trying to unload my blink XT 5 camera system & can't get squat. Buy at your own risk.

I don't know but I did record the lowest prices from previous deals here when there was a possible price mistake because they were on a discounted sale AND a coupon code worked.

So if I wanted 3 cameras, is there any reason I shouldn't buy 1 + 2 packs for $215 instead of the 3 pack for $230? Is the extra sync module useful, or worth anything on eBay?

It's stupid. Buy the two camera kit for $140 and a one camera kit for $75. You will get 3 cameras and two modules for $215.

Yes. It has a USB connector to power it without batteries, HOWEVER you have to open a rubber seal to plug the USB power connection in so it is no longer weatherproof. Indoors you would be fine.

A good FAQ on this camera is here. https://blinkforhome.com/pages/fr...-questions

Have the 2 camera package now for about 3 months. Works well. Only complaint is I haven't figured out how to set a schedule for arming.

Looks to be a good deal I've wondered realistically how long these usually last since on battery. I know use matters of course but for home security while away...not sure if this is the route to go or run wires or power or Poe and put up cameras? But this is convienent.
