they had some refurbs posted the other day for under $20, same ones i believe, so just wait a bit and set a deal alert and im sure the refurbs will come back at some point. they also had the wired in ear noise cancelling refurbs for $10 and I got a pair of those just for the hell of it...reviews seem decent on them and the video review i saw had recorded audio showing the difference with noise cancelling on and off and I was impressed for $10 bucks (reg I think they were $49 - too expensive for taotronics IMO)...but personally i wouldnt risk it for 40 on these but for $20 I would wait it out and grab a pair next time they pop up.

Code still works.

I got in on the previous $20 refurb of these and that was a steal. Nice light weight, the protein pads are super comfortable, the noise cancelling is decent (even tho it jacks the volume a bit), and they fold into the provided travel case.

IMHO Good deal for $40. Refurbs are now repriced to $35. But most SDers will wait to see if $20 refurb returns!

Any advantages to the new model, besides slightly better battery life? Looks like the new ones don't have aptX, but these do.

I picked up a pair of $20 refubs from a few days ago. I'd pay $40 for these because they are great for the office.

They can connect to two devices at a time. I connect my cell and desk VoIP phone.

I use them to stream music, take calls from my cell.

I also connect these to my VoIP desk phone. When an in comming call comes in my VoIP, the cell streaming pauses headsets automatically switch to the VoIP call. After I hang up VoIP call, it will switch back to the cell streaming.

That alone is worth $40 if you ask me.

Got the refurbished one for 20$, very pleased. Not the best noise cancellation, but for 20$ it was a great deal. I guess for 40 still a good deal

I got them too, unfortunately one earbud is quieter than the other. It's a shame I really liked them

The reviews I have read said the ANC doesn't cancel noise like Sony or Bose but it boosts the base and volume to cover up surrounding noise.

Must have been defective unit. TaoTronics NC headset has high defect rate, but it's noise canceling capability is superb for the price. Must check for defect very carefully.
