Got a 40 page 10x10 Hardcover book with glossy pages for about 50 bucks. Would have been double otherwise. Still, its rather expensive. Will have to see when it arrives if the quality is worth it.

The key with their photobooks is to wait until they run the "free unlimited pages" promotion on top of a % off sale, which they seem to do several times a year. The 20-page allotment is a bit of a joke if you ask me.

Actually the last time they ran the unlimited pages deal (April----here's the deal posting on SD from that promo), they capped the number of pages at (go figure) 111. So it's not truly unlimited. Still, 111 runs rings around 20.

Personally it takes me a long time to assemble photobooks to my liking on their site. More than once I learned of a worthwhile promotion at Shutterfly, but due to other time commitments, there was no way I could get a 50-to-100-page book designed and completed before the promotion timed out. So nowadays, I actually start putting together books on their site whenever I have some down time. They save the books, whether finished or incomplete, in your account. So when a short-lived unlimited pages promo pops up, I've already done most of the work on the book and I can finish it and get my order in quickly.

Shutterfly just released their "Unlimited free pages" offer today... but I agree with @KTG that it takes a lot of time for me to organize in Shutterfly... I drool for this opportunity to build a photobook of 111 pages... but I don't think I can take out enough time to build one before this offer expires on Sunday, 7/22

I've had books made by most of the lower-priced sites, but >in the approximate price range<
Shutterfly blows the others out of the water.
Paper thickness is first indicator (20 page book side-by-side). Good selection of page designs and photo layouts as well as do it yourself.
Covers are the best of the lower priced sites.
Regular Discounts and 'freebies' (pay shipping)
(I've gotten puzzles and magnets that relatives adore).

Free shipping over $39 - that in itself saves big time.
I wholeheartedly agree with another commenter that the best route is to build ahead and wait for the deal to come by.
I've made baby books, vacation books, junior baseball books (talk about WOWS from the parents 😊), a yearly reunion book for each side of my family, old photo remembrances..
Yes, I'm a fan.

Hot damn, I may have to reprint my book that I just ordered with even more pages. Fortunately for me, I excel at working in photoshop and have been making custom pages using InDesign/Photoshop, much more versatile and quicker to plan layout than the sluggish and limited web interface.

Wonder if they'll let me cancel my printing from Tuesday.

EDIT : yep, they let me cancel my order from Tuesday, so I can rebuild the same book with 111 page - Aw hell yes. Big Grin Thanks for letting me know, I'd have missed it if you hadn't replied and bought it to my attention.
