I've got this and love it. Even bought 2 more speakers to make it 7.1. Any reason to upgrade the fronts to tower speakers?

Yup. Great speakers.
HKTS 16 is almost identical to the 30. The numbers with their models are very confusing. HKTS 16 refurb sells for $140 pretty regularly and mine arrived with plastic film still on everything (brand new from what I could tell)

I have these in my living room, about 600 sqft. Plenty of punch.

Bought this for $200 last time it went on sale (about 2 months ago), conveniently right after my decade old el-cheapo pioneer 5.1 system (that wasn't really set up as 5.1) took a dump. I also picked up a Yamaha RX-V683BL (also a slick deal) to drive the HK speakers. The sound is outstanding compared to what I was used to. Finally brought my entire home theater / video gaming setup into the 2000's with the A/V receiver and true surround sound.

The HK satellites are extremely "bright" sounding compared to what I was used to, which is a good thing. And after some fiddling with the manual and auto EQ settings on the Yamaha, I got the bass to where I like it too. The amount of low end that this sub can kick out is impressive for it's size. The speakers themselves are very weighty for their size (big magnets I'm sure) and seem to have outstanding build quality. I have all of mine on tables, so I did not use the brackets and can't comment on their ease of use or quality.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this set to anyone looking for an upgrade... especially at this price!

I'd recommend the AVR-S530BT from accessories4less. Great reviews and great value for something simple with no frills.
