Solid camera. I own one and we use it daily, even moved it into our girls room when she became a toddler. you can use this camera for years, and unlike most traditional baby cams, the fact that you can view live footage when you are AWAY from the home make it a huge plus for me

Not really a good price. They're going for $100-110 on ebay.

From what I can see the deals on eBay are for the version 1. This is the newer version 2 Arlo Baby.

Yep, I think Arlo stopped shipping those v1's in 2017

Great camera. I gave one to my sister who just had her first kid and she loves it.

This is 100% wrong. There is no such thing as a Version 2. There is no functional difference between the ABC1000-100NAS and the ABC1000-200NAS. They discontinued the green bunny for the grey bunny. Literally the only difference.

This deal is lukewarm at best. On two separate occasions (in June & July), the ABC1000-100NAS was available for $100, fulfilled by Amazon. Both were completely new, in box. One is installed in the nursery, which I'm using to watch the kid on, right now. The other is sitting in the playroom.

I see in the description that it plays music, has a night light, and has air sensors. I'm also curios if these are the only differences? I love Arlo and have 7 total for monitoring my home, but not sure it's ideal for a baby monitor. If I wanted to always be monitoring I'd have to have the app open on my phone? What if I need to use my phone?

Those are the main differences, other than the more kid-friendly appearance. Those sensors are helpful though, especially the temperature and humidity (don't really know if the air quality one is accurate). Our night light stopped working spontaneously a few months ago, luckily we don't really want to use it anyway but still a bummer. Haven't decided if I'm going to contact Netgear about it because up until now I was under the impression that they discontinued the line altogether.

If you want to watch continuously then yes you'll need the app open but you can minimize and do other things on your phone; it'll just refresh when you get back into the app. You can also log in from your laptop browser (and I suppose a smart TV if you're fancy), which makes it great to check in while away from your child's nursery or busy doing something else. If you want continuous video monitoring you can buy the clouds subscription for a certain price point per month/year to let you review footage. Kinda pointless for a baby monitor unless you have a Tommy Pickles on your hand, but we have another camera in the living room and we review what the nanny does from time to time (she is fully aware it's there).

All in all we've been happy with our monitor, some video lag/buffering issues but that's more a function of our network capabilities and structural limitations of our apartment. Would definitely buy again especially if you're already looking into home security anyway.

Thanks. My baby is still too young to need a monitor yet so I can't say what I prefer, but I still feel like the standalone ones with the screen would be better for around the house use. It would be nice to be able to have a web accessible one as well for when the nanny/babysitter days come or when I just want to take a peak when at work.

Nailed it. No difference between the two models for the camera, only the bunny suit color. My wife and I love ours, but the software can be touchy. That said, its a great baby monitor that has features that haven't been matched by people using security cameras as baby monitors. 7 days of cloud storage (FREE) is also a great bonus, and we've downloaded a lot of candid videos of our kiddo that we would have otherwise missed.
