Solid tool for home use, especially if you already have a 40V Greenworks battery around

Battery and charger are so expensive it appears to be easier to get the version including battery and charger, which is not on sale.

Was hoping this would go on sale! Own the 19" mower, the cordless trimmer, three batteries and two chargers, so this is perfect. Good find!

Watch the video on Amazon, it shows the battery up close, being popped in and out of the equipment.

When buying cordless tools, you don't just think on getting one tool. It's a waste of money if you're going to buy this brand for this tool and then the other brand for another tool.
So, also look at other tools that might also need that use the same battery and if the price is better.

Greenworks tools on sale quite often and sometimes also can use coupon at their ebay store.

This works pretty good. I've done a lot of limb work with mine to catch up on the previous owner's lack of tree care. Unfortunately, my 4ah battery needs to be pried out of it, so I just stick with the 2ah battery for this machine. Compliments the 14" chainsaw really well. By the time the battery is depleted, it's time for a break and you swap in a new battery. And no gas related maintenance for a power tool that will only see work 1 or 2 times a year! Just top off the batteries every once in a while so they don't discharge all the way.

The biggest downside is the tiny chain wears pretty quickly. Being a small bar, it takes a lot of passes of the chain to cut the wood. So don't forget a dremel sharpening kit!
