Great IP Cam. Great quality. Great picture. Bought it at a lightning deal a couple months ago for same price. Great for advance DIY system. I have it on Blue Iris and integrated it with my SmartThing.

If you are a novice and only want it for Stand-Alone monitoring, there are easier cameras to work with.

I'm not going to lie. Definitely, not for a ST novice to do. But here's a couple links:

You need to setup your account on SmartThing IDE.
https://graph.api.smartthings.com/

Once setup you will see your Hub and Devices.

The Foscam camera or other IP camera will not automatically show up on your ST. You will need to setup a Device Handler on them. Directions are here on how to add a Foscam Camera Device Handler to your ST account.

Once you do this, you will have basic functionality in your ST app.

To get full control and have the ability to ARM and DISARM and do fancy things, I recommend setting up the CoRE App in ST app.

Again, Samsung SmartThing is powerful, but you need to do a lot of reading and learning to get the most out of it.

Anyways, even if you can't set it up in ST, the Foscam comes with computer software that will allow you to set it up to do motion detection, record to internal card, email(text) out motion and pictures to you.
