And still nothing compared to the Roborock S50 which is cheaper.

Agreed. Got one recently. half the price and will bend any iRobot over any day. Don't take our words for it check on youtube for a ton of reviews.

I looked into it and it would not work for me. Bristle type brush would tangle with long hair. Cutting out hair is more hassle than vacuuming manually.

Yep got a second one last week from the ebay deal for $335. I've sold SO many friends on it it's hilarious. Why even bother looking at more expensive Roombas? It's not a deal unless it's a Roborock S50. That's my PSA.

There are various sources for Lowe's coupons, including link above.

It's not hassle at all. It has a super-easily removable brush, and a little tool that's stored IN the vacuum to cut hair if it accumulates.

Cant decide between this and roborock. Isn't warranty an issue as per other threads. Thoughts?

Lot of hyperbole lol. I've had both a 980 and xiomi for a while.

Xiomi is definitely comparable. And if you only have hardwood it's equivalent.

Roomba consistently wins on carpet though.

Like you said, Roomba is way more expensive. But if money's not a big deal and you just want the best, roomba does win. It's getting really close though.

No it's not close. Want to schedule your vacuum to run at night? Oh that's right - the Roomba 980 can't because its cameras can't see anything, and it will just throw a fault, so you need to waste electricity leaving lights on for it. Roborock S50 uses LIDAR which works in pitch black. And the Roborock battery lasts twice as long. I have zero idea why you think the 980 is better on carpet, either.

And like you said, the Roomba is MUCH more expensive. And it's not as good. Anyone reading this, go read reviews. Make up your own minds.

Just providing my experience as an owner of both. Roomba simply performs slightly better. Note I have some carpeted floors. I notice 0 difference on my hardwood floors.

These things are both wayyy too loud to run at night hah.

Whether that improvement is worth it to someone is just a financial question.

I run mine at night on my main floor while I sleep upstairs. The Roomba is near twice the cost of the Xiaomi. That makes it an easy decision.
