This deal is back and now a bit better since it's 20% off instead of 15% when I bought it. This is the cheapest 27in 144hz Freesync monitor out there (even refurbished). I know some people won't like that it's 1080p & TN, but this is a perfect budget friendly 2nd monitor just for gaming.

My Impressions:
I've had this monitor now for about a week, and think as a gaming monitor it is well worth this price. My stand did come scuffed, but overall I'm happy with the condition it came in. The benefit of 144hz & Freesync is really why you would buy this monitor. The black levels are mediocre and the viewing angles are middling to put it nicely. But, that's every TN panel IMO. The speakers output some high pitched whine (even though nothing is plugged in) but if you lower the volume to "0" it completely goes away. I used my Spyder5 to callibrate the monitor and it's still pretty off compared to my SAMSUNG S32D850T that I use for photo editing. One last thing, my model actually came with a different bezel that is shown in the photos, which thankfully are narrower and much more tasteful. Though, I can't say all of them will be like that.

Hope this helps! If it does, hit that rep button Smilie

I'd say so. I've bought a handful of things from them and had no issues. They used to be "buy.com" until they were bought out by Rakuten which is a Japanese company. They're still trying to break into the American market. This monitor actually comes direct from Acer's factory store, just sold through Rakuten's marketplace.

How does this compare to the insignia refurbished 1440 144Hz? $20 more for 1440 over 1080? This is still a good deal

If you have a graphics card that can handle running 1440p decently well, I'd go that route. I have an rx570 which handles 1080p just well enough to keep the less demanding titles near the top and the more demanding ones near the bottom of the freesync range which is just perfect for me.
