Incoming call auto answer on BT of Moto E4?

2,146 52 July 16, 2018 at 09:41 PM
How can configure so that Moto E4 will auto answer an incoming call when I am driving?
E4 will be connected to the car via Bluetooth.
I had done it on Samsung Express with the built in software but am lost on my E4 - seems like a dump phone.

Also E4 does not give instant beep when it is connected to power - does not do it when it is fully charged. Any workaround?

I don't think I am buying Moto anymore.

Open phone app touch the vertical ...
Choose settings > Calls > Auto answer on headset

I'm not sure I'd want to automatically answer all the robo calls...

Why do conservative politicians oppose conservation?
Have you ever stopped to think the long-term GOP immigration policy might be to make the United States of America a less desirable place to live than Mexico?

You sure it is on E4 (not Plus)?
I do not have "Auto answer on headset" - had someone else to check it too

I can see that setting on an E4. Make sure you're looking at settings in the phone app not general system settings.

I would just get a nice dash mount and install Tasker and set it to automatically open android auto when your phone is charging and connected to your car's bluetooth.

I've used a lot of budget phones over the years and the Moto E4 was definitely the best of them. Anytime you switch phones there always seems to be at least one feature missing from the new one. I just switched from the E4 to a LG G6 and really miss Moto Gestures on the front mounted fingerprint scanner. Not sure about auto-answer on the E4 but can't imagine anyone wanting to use it unless they had a physical handicap. Most modern vehicles have BT controls mounted on the steering wheel so your eyes can stay on the road.

I was just messing around with my E4 and it does have a setting called "auto answer on headset" but not sure if it works with BT. Go to your dialer and hit the three vertical dots, settings and calls. The E4 also has a setting for "charging sounds" but they don't seem to alert you when plugging in a charger.

dialer -> three vertical dots -> settings -> calls: Have 5 options:
i) Calling accounts
2) Voicemail
3) Fixes Dialing #s
4) Call Forwarding
5) Additional Settings

auto answer on headset was not one of them

Mine is factory unlocked version (not the Verizon)

Agreed, I don't want to auto-answer any calls, on bluetooth or not. I don't want a reverse version of "pocket dial" and have people hear me chatting without me expressly answering a phone call.
