These are great. Keeps ice cubes and ice water for hours at a time.

Who voted YETI as "not a good product"? Yikes. They obviously don't own any of their products.

Just last week I bought the cooler at Woot, guess I'm buying the 64 oz Rambler now too. lol

Thanks, OP.

People treat yeti like Bose. They think it's overpriced and marketing hype. Which it may be but like Bose, it's a good product.

I was gonna say FETI (fake YETI). haha There is a chance that the dollar store had some sort of fake stainless steel cup for $5 but you will never see an actual YETI product in a dollar store, let alone a 64 oz YETI Rambler for $5.

BTW, what's a $5 item doing in a 99 cents store? I thought everything was only $0.99.

I picked one of these up about a year and half ago and I was very underwhelmed with their performance as a growler. The insulation qualities were of course top notch. 12 hours into my day, the beer was still ice cold, but it went flat much quicker than I expected (about 2 days). I filled it on a Friday after work for a Sunday outing at the golf course and it was noticeably lacking much of it's carbonation. I thought maybe I didn't tighten it enough and had a user error, so gave it another shot the next month.... same results.

It's an amazing jug for non-carbonated beverages. I have been using the Miir [amazon.com] for beer and it provides much better carbonation retention.

Just FYI, Walmart sells their 64oz Ozark Trail [walmart.com] bottle for $15, and it occasionally goes on sale for $10 or less. Functionally identical to the Yeti for less than half the cost. I have one sitting on my desk right now that still has ice in it from ~7pm yesterday. The 36oz version is currently $8.75, those are excellent as well.

Sounds like you need to drink your beer faster.

yeah, most growlers (especially screw top) are not meant to hold carbonation for very long. If you get a good (full) pour, it can last a week or two unopened. Once you open it, you should consume within 24 hours.
