Check out price is $89.99 for prime member. For those who missed the Intel 8700K deal, maybe you want to switch to AMD??? A good CPU would be Ryzen 7 2700X.

Can anyone recommend a non gaming gpu? I am think about getting the 7 1700x ($164 ebay https://slickdeals.net/f/11823383-amd-ryzen-7-1700x-8-core-3-4-ghz-desktop-processor-164-99-free-shipping?v=1&src=SiteSearch ) and replace my 5 1400 that is in my msi b350 and then use the 5 1400 on a non gaming build but I would need a cheap non gpu to go w/ the 5 1400.

Or

This 7 2700x and x470 combo newegg:

$375 and replace both of my 5 1400 w/ msi b350 bazooka?

Or

Just simply forget the 7 1700x and get a 3 2200g w/built in graphics and mobo combo that can be had for $140ish for my non gaming build?

Yep newbie here ☺️

I'm hoping an itx and CPU deal pops up soon. If I didn't buy an itx case already, I would've picked up that 2700x and mobo deal.

For non-gaming GPU, EVGA's online store occasionally has discounted b-stock GT 1030's for $70 or a little less, check on Wednesdays for the best deals.

I have the Ryzen 3 2200G paired with an Asus ROG STRIX B350-F, using the displayport at 1440P for non-gaming purposes, and it works very well for me.

Depending on what level of performance you're shooting for with the non-gaming system, a current generation NUC may be more cost effective unless you already have all the other components for a second build.

What does? The 5 good reviews on PCPP compared to the 100 1&2 star reviews on Newegg/Amazon which accounts for nearly 30% of all reviews? Sorry man, I get spooked when I see 20% 1&2 star reviews... this is at nearly 30%. If you got one I hope you are one of the lucky ones, dude.

Just read through most of the 1 star reviews again on Newegg, many had unsupported hardware (needed a BIOS update) or were whining about not having Windows 7 support in 2018.

I own this board and didn't post a review (as many people who don't have problems). The RAM I purchased was on the supported list and worked fine, also the BIOS was updated prior to it being shipped to me. I installed a Ryzen 2200G without issue and am currently running Windows 10 on it.

The only real quirk with the motherboard, assuming you don't get a lemon, is well documented. If you plan to overclock, it's done using voltage offsets instead of absolute values. If you like the overall features of this board, go for it, right after checking that the RAM you plan to use is on the supported hardware list. Cheers!
