Maybe TMI but I had a string of recurring candida infections - would be able to kill it with topical creams (Rx) but then as soon as I'd get rid of it, it would come back. Then I remembered a conversation I had with my PCP once when I had a similar issue with athlete's foot and he said to try and sanitize my shoes (kinda difficult). So then I thought.... maybe I'm curing myself, but the clothing is just reinfecting me?

Then I started a regimen of soaking clothes in a sodium percarbonate solution (Oxyclean but I buy the pure chemical in powder form) for about 30 min in hot water, then running the clothes in a cycle including this sanitizer.

Since starting that, I haven't had any more candida issues and that was last fall.

I've stopped the percarbonate soak for most stuff except underwear, but I use the sanitizer in each load.

Although I don't have any dermatitis with it, there are some reviews with people with severe reactions (rash).

This product DOES GO in the fabric softener dispenser. It does NOT get added to detergent in the wash cycle. It CANNOT come into contact with laundry detergents, softeners or any other product.
This product has either no usage label, or one hidden under a stupid peel sticker. This product is not on the Lysol website anywhere, and it needs to go in the final rinse and remain for 16 minsated).

I bought this last time there was an SD and I like it a lot. Much prefer it to fabric softener.

I love this... it takes care of any stinky clothing or towels. No need to wash clothes with hot water.

Unless you are doing whites (or other chlorine bleach safe fabrics) that are stained, dingy and/or grungy. Then it's tough to beat a strong detergent + chlorine bleach + hot water + other additives+ per-treatment(s) as needed due to water chemistry or type of stains respectively. We use this product and really like the idea of being able to sanitize dark or delicate fabrics. We have had to discipline ourselves to letting it remain in contact with fabrics for at least 16 minutes in the rinse cycle for the product to be effective. Still have some on-hand, but this is a deal so in for 1. Thanks OP!

Add white vinegar in the wash or in the fabric softener dispenser part. It will help clean and takes the smell out. You can buy 10 gallons for this price.

Yea but vinegar isn't really good for the thin rubber hoses in your washer which aren't designed for it... I'd rather spend more on this and keep those in good shape. A leak can cost you thousands in cleanup and repairs.
