The best non-Kohls coupon deal I've seen on the AeroPress in a while.

Total cost $22.49 after clipping the $6.46 coupon: https://www.amazon.com/AeroPress-...vpc_slickd

Also, the best re-usable filter out there is on sale too: https://www.amazon.com/MESH-AeroP...B00JVTQHVC

Enjoy your coffee!
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

It might be a lack of skill but I can't find any method to consistently make decent, strong iced coffee. I've used a French press and a few other methods. How would this compare for that purpose?
I'm about to try cold brew using a filter from Amazon and half gallon mason jar. Still working through my store bought stock but when I finish I'll be trying that. I only ever drink cold coffee and this makes it less acidic as well which is better for hubby who has reflux issues.

Set up your alert! The Virtuoso goes on sale a lot but is pricey. The Baratza Encore is a great grinder but hard to find on sale. Your best hope is using eBay coupons like today's FP deal for example. An Encore would run you $115 or so, which is honestly a great deal.
I was reading that you can upgrade the grinder in the encore to make it a virtuoso. However, since I'm the only one in the house that likes to brew fresh coffee, I'll probably buy a hand grinder!

I've read about that mod as well... I'll do it sometime whenever I make time for it! Thanks for the reminder. Do you know about how much it costs to do that?

This is the older model I have that's more of a tinted color than a clear one. Really would like a second one that's clear to keep one at work.

I started making concentrated cold brew coffee in my Aeropress and it has been life changing. The downside is it takes 6 hours, but with proper planning I always have cold press coffee in the am.

The clear ones are old, made of polycarbonate or copolyester; the newer ones are tinted and have been made of polypropylene for the past few years.

They just traded BPA or something else, since pretty much all plastics leach estrogenic compounds when subjected to stressors like hot water and acid (aka, coffee): https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/...MC3222987/

I can't imagine making such a small amount of cold brew at once unless you don't drink it often.

I use an old gallon-sized pickle jar. Add the grounds directly to the water or put them in a hops / nut milk bag (easier to remove, but reduces extraction). Makes enough concentrate for my wife and myself for a week.
