So wasn't planning on going to Fiji, but this seems like a pretty great price?

Yes it's a great price; comes around 1-3 times per year at best. I took advantage of it last October and made a trip, beautiful islands! My only advice would be to get off or all-together avoid Denarau island!

Good to know, thanks! $776 direct from LA seems pretty crazy. I've been looking around reddit, tripadvisor etc. to find a 10 day itinerary but it's kind of all over the place. Having a hard time nailing down exactly where we'd want to go.

Any advice? We're young married couple in our 30's, no kids, Scuba certified, looking for a fun mix of adventurous activities, culture and mid-high end relaxation resort(s).

my wife and I went last october on a deal like this. taveuni Island had some great snorkeling. There was an epic reef there. I guess top 3 in world for soft coral. Rainbow reef. We only snorkeled but it blew any of the snorkeling we did in Polynesian islands out of the water. The scuba divers there were all saying best they had ever done. taveunii is a more remote island. But we love it. I wouldn't say much for night life. Also 30, no kids, but not scuba certified.
We stayed here. Coconut Grove Beachfront Cottages Simple but great. Like 15 devoted staff for 3 cabins.

Only other advice. Get off the main island and avoid sava suva (second biggest island)

Hahaha exactly! To be fair, we were planning a trip in September, but Fiji was just not on the list of places we were looking at. $775 nonstop flights changed that pretty quickly Big Grin
