My local Costco had this on the floor for $910.

The $950 price tag was crossed out with a marker and $910 was the sale price.

They had some 75" Vizio's around that price at some locations as well. I would look for that first as thats a much better deal

Here's the thread with the 75" for nearly the same price.

That the E-series though. This is for the P–series. I bought my dad a 70" E Series Display last year on cyber Monday from Costco as well, for $600.

In terms of quality, with Vizio, it goes as follows:

R-series (high end)
P-series
M-series
E-series
D-series (low end)

I know the letters have their own meaning like R is for reference, P is for professional, M is for mid-level, and E is for entry-level. Someone correct me if I'm wrong though. I have no idea what the D series stands for

It was either last year or the year before. Someone posted a huge Costco Cyber Monday deal thread and it was there. $600 or $650 online

Edit: $690 2 years ago for a 70" e series.

I was in my local costco yesterday and this TV was $960. It had been on clearance for $999.97. My store had at least 3 or 4 of them under the display. Are these that good?

Not really. Better off with a 2018 TCL 6 series or even 2018 Vizio P series.

For me as a gamer the relatively high input lag of pre 2018 Vizio's makes them a non starter.

The input lags are almost the same in the 2017 and 2018 models.

https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews...-xled-2017

In Game Mode 4K @ 60 hz the 2017 model is at 15.9 ms input lag.

https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews...eries-2018

In Game Mode 4K @ 60 hz the 2018 model is at 15.3 ms input lag.

Only a .6 ms difference. On the 2017 review, they state that the 2016 P Series had almost identical results. I remember these displays having low input lag cause Im a gamer too and low input lag is a big thing I look for.

Hopefully they are knocking these down in price to make way for the 2018 model.

Look on lag with HDR on...

4k @ 60Hz + HDR Show Help
: 52.5 ms

it's 50+ms with HDR on. Given that HDR gaming is becoming ubiquitous on PS4/Xbox that's a big problem.

At least they supposedly finally cleaned it up for 2018. For 2018 Vizio lag with HDr is ~22ms evidently, which is fine. I wouldn't sweat a few ms difference to the 16ms of Samsung/TCL which are best in class.
