The excellent and incredibly simple Skulls cardgame is on sale for 10 bucks here too (as per other thread).

As for Arkham Card Game -- you can watch the review on Shut Up And Sit Down to get excited. It's an excellent, fun game. Be warned -- this will require some investment of time to get up and running. I would suggest watching maybe 2 playthroughs/rule explanations as well as reading the rules. You won't be able to say, "let's play a game tonight" and be playing 20 minutes later. I'd budget maybe 2 hours to figure it all out and even then the first scenario you will likely be sort of feeling your way through and stopping to check the rules now and then. Maybe for really experienced gamers this isn't true but it was for me.

Great game! Picked it up at GS and was able to get my grumpy brother to begrudgingly agree to play. I could tell he was dead set on not having a good time while I explained the rules but by the end he was excited to know when we were going to continue our campaign.

Totally gonna get some expansions and maybe now I can talk him into playing Gloomhaven with me. Time to set up an alert? Smilie

Is this game complicated? I tried to watch a tutorial video on youtube and it was 20 minutes long.

I remember playing this when it was relatively new as one of my first forays into board gaming... I was extremely confused.

Would someone who has played both this and Eldritch Horror weigh in as to which is the better option? My understanding is that they're both aiming to scratch the same itch.
