A lot of CG products are good, some not so much (their ceramic coating apparently sucks, and from personal experience their wheel guard coating is worse than not using anything at all), but for this price, even if it sucks at cleaning wheels, I can always try it as a general degreaser.

FWIW, good reviews on amazon.

Thanks OP

Dollar store degreaser has worked as good or better than these special purpose cleaners for my wheels

I have used CG's Diablo Wheel gel, Adams wheel cleaner and others...

If you want a good wheel cleaner I suggest Valet Pro Bilberry wheel cleaner, Valet Pro Dragons Breath or Bilt Hamber wheel cleaner. These are great at eating through brake dust and removing the iron deposits in the wheel. The Valet Pro stuff is dilutable to a 10:1 ratio which means 1L of product makes 10L of wheel cleaner.

Sonax works good too.
But with all these wheel/rim cleaners, and although you don't need to use a wheel brush, you still need to use a sponge to remove the leftover thin film of dirt (the brown/black stuff if you run your finger over) after using a pressure washer.

Or how about like Simple Green compared to this??? Don't know how well it's fares against this. I think for the same amount of 1 gal, Simple Green is cheaper. Any thoughts?

Simple Green will not cut through brake dust. Tried that before. I use Purple Power with a sponge on the rim and a tire brush and it works great.

I use the purple simple green and a little elbow grease. A lot of wheel cleaners and cleaners in general are bad for bare metal. Even on coated wheels the corrosion starts in nicks and scratches.

Sonax is ridiculously expensive

The degreaser I use from Dollar Tree is "Street Appeal Auto Degreaser", and it's made by LA Awesome. It's found by the automotive stuff. It works really well on my wheels.

Yep. DS LA Awesome is all I use on my chrome plated wheels & tires. Even half diluted it really cuts through the grime.

I've used many kinds but recently been using No Touch Tire Foam and No Touch Wet'N'Protect. They run about $4 each.
