Newegg has Intel Hades Canyon NUC high spec version available for 20% off, this is the best price I have ever seen since it's available for sale around late April/early May.

The deal will expire in 14 hours. It's a beefy SFF machine to grab.

I know... I am the OP but I still didn't pull the trigger on this. I have a Gemini Lake NUC and I am happy with it so far for my need. I don't know what to do to with this Hades Canyon. But I thought it might be helpful for those who are in market looking for this.

Excellent price. The only thing I don't like about these is the size of the power supply which is almost as big as the rest of the system.

I've one of those NUCs and the power supply is a really huge brick.

Another problem is in this gen, though promised initially, no HDR. So it is a 4K HTPC, non-HDR one. Kinda a letdown and no support for Ultra HD source as far as I read (but could be wrong)

Agree, I understand lack of HDR support is disappointing, but IMHO this machine is best suit for a desktop replacement for developers or occasionally entertainment.

Max it out. 32G is what you need, plus a 500g 970 evo. Hahaha

I bought the skull canyon nuc for my son and dad. So this will be for me. I'm a big fan of NUCs in general. Time to unload my boat anchor of a PC and move to all SFF everywhere.

Agreed. For those purposes, including even noncasual gaming, this rig would work very well. I have the previous gen. Amazing power for that size. The power brick is 2x the size
