Remember a few years back when these were in such low demand retailers had them in clearance bins for $10?

Pepperidge Farms Remembers.

Yep. I even traded away a couple to Amazon under the PS4 listing a couple years ago too. Then the trade value spiked ridiculously.Facepalm

Yup, lol. How they justify the current price for decade+ old technology is anyone's guess, heh. I keep mine, so if I ever get around to ps VR, I'm set 😁

Looks up "Beat Saber" coming for the PS VR this fall. That's why these are back in demand.

Okay that looked pretty cool.

I have the ps vr system but we lack the vr move controllers(They didn't come with our headset). I have seen old sets of move controllers in the thrift stores before and I didn't buy them then. Now I have been keeping an eye out for some move controllers.

Why did someone mention the older usb ones are bad and the newer micro usb are good?
Is that just because they have a more current charge port? Or is there a difference in quality on these controllers?

Demand I'm fine with, it's their pricing. No way these should be $50 apiece at this point. At least this bundle gets them to $34 apiece, I guess.

They're exactly the same except for charge Port. Personally, I don't care what the plug looks like 😁

I have read that the new ones have a larger battery. Also the older ones would have old aging batteries possibly. Other than that I don't see that there's any other difference.

Actually there is one other difference; the new controllers will not work with the PlayStation 3 at all. While the older ones are compatible with both consoles.

I had read somewhere that unless you are buying a newer PlayStation VR bundle you would be getting the older controllers. I am not sure if that is still true.

From what I've heard, the gyroscope/accelerometer/light orb tracking is the same, it's just that the rechargeable batteries in the older USB controllers... are old. Like, some kind of ability to hold a charge due to age sort of thing.

Could there be more to it? Maybe?? I'm not a Sony Interactive employee, haha.

Cool and it looks like you can even change out the battery packs on the old vr move controllers. I'm still hoping to pickup some for $10 or less at a thrift store.

Btw, I found this just scrolling through "hot deals," but I could've sworn I put up an alert for deals on this (so I could use it with my PS VR). Ha! Well, I don't really know of any pawn shops nearby that I trust even if I found some move controllers there, so I'm probably "in" for this.

There's anecdotes about these older models losing their ability to hold much of a charge.
