LaView

4MP IP PoE Bullet or Dome camera ( LV-PB3140WC or LV-PD514028C )
$74.25 for one, or 4 for $267.30 ( $66.83 per camera )

Good deal for those looking to add cameras to their LaView NVR kits they have.
( Should also work in the Hikvision kits, POE power adapters are not included w/the cameras - so you will need a POE switch, POE injector, POE AC adapter, or NVR w/PoE ports )

You will need to follow instructions to get the discounts.

LaView has numerous routes to order cameras and kits, and currently has 3 discount codes:
discount code: JULY20 for 20% off, or 20% with BUILDUPNVR, or 25% HOME64 - Warning code may only work if you order products from the proper page!

The cameras I test "ordered", from their product page:
( ** DO NOT ORDER FROM THE SINGLE CAMERA PRODUCT PAGE ** )

1) 4MP IP Bullet Security Camera
SKU LV-PB3040WC
$169.99 - price if you buy from the product page
which you can apply code JULY20 ( 20% discount )
https://www.laviewsecurity.com/pr...a-253.html

2) 4MP IP Dome Camera
SKU LV-PD514028C
$115.00
https://www.laviewsecurity.com/pr...amera.html

However, IF you go to the business build your own kit page you will see the following deal

Bullet | LV-PB3140WC Reg $109 now $99.00
Dome | LV-PD514028C Reg $115 now $99.00

If you buy 4 cameras as per the following instructions you can get another 10% off.

4x 4MP LV-PB3140WC ( $99.00 each - 10% ) = $356.40
Discount (home64) = $89.10
Total w/o tax = $267.30 ( that's $66.83 per camera )

If you only want one camera it would be
$74.25

Steps

1) Start here:
https://www.laviewsecurity.com/bu...iness.html
( if you go the build for your home route - it attempts to force you to buy an NVR, note however that the 1080P cameras in that screen are cheaper - $69 each vs $85 )

2) Add camera(s) from the above or other cameras if you like.

If you add 4+ cameras you'll get 10% off, you have to do this in one "add to cart" action to build the camera package and get the discount. If you attempt to add cameras later it does not work.

You can mix and match the cameras. I tested 2 Bullet and 2 Dome 4MP IP POE cameras.

3) Click on add to cart. ( I added nothing else when I did this )

4) Your shopping cart is now shown. Enter HOME64 for a 25% discount in the Discount Code box and Apply Coupon.

5) Proceed to check out. I tested the guest checkout and it looks good.

Should make a nice add on camera to the LaView kits SDers may have picked up on any of the fp deals.

Note - this price is actually LESS for the single camera by some cents than on Amazon Prime Day

If you have a Dahua OEM NVR I recommend sticking with Dahua OEM cameras - especially if your NVR has the more advanced IVS features.

( update: should also work well with other Hikvision OEM NVR and VMS like Blue Iris )

Not really 4K, 30fps only supported at 1080p. Looks like OEM Hikvision G0 platform Chinese market 4MP camera

Where did OP or the link say this was 4k? The resolution of this 4MP camera is 2688 x 1520. I have never had an issue updating my LaView cameras to Hikvision firmware. Nice find OP.

I am looking to run 6-8 of these dome cameras. What would be a good cost effective solution for an NVR that is compatible with these cameras?

Hi jp5392

In general, I would look for deals on kits - Amazon had some good ones for Prime Day.
Newegg just expired a 4 camera kit.

Many kits may only come with 4, maybe 6 cameras - so nice to find more cameras.

From the Business build your kit it lists:
8 Channel 4K NVR | 2TB HDD | LV-N9608C8E reg $359 now $279.00

w/25% off that comes to $210 ( a fair enough price - though the add-on HDD prices re high )

So that's the price to beat for a decent 4K rated NVR 2/2TB HDD.

A WD purple 2TB HDD runs about $60 on sale.. maybe less now since I picked one up.

So $150 w/o HDD would be what you can use to compare your options.

I don't know of many deals on just NVRs. Remember to get a hikvsion oem NVR for the best results ( LaView, some Swanns , other ).

One option is VMS software running on a PC ( like Blue Iris on a used newer gen i5/i7 ) + switch. If you're upgraded to a newer i5/i7 you may have an older one you can reassign to being an NVR.

When searching DO be cautious w/random Ebay, Amazon, Ali sellers - get references if you can. ( ipcamtalk has a good Hikvision thread, other forums may also ). Some sellers take Chinese market NVRs/cameras and hack them with modded firmware - as Hikvision maybe now code signing you may get a NVR or camera which can not be updated or restored to a English version. Normally international models are good and support English and numerous other languages out of the box.

Hi Supernoman,

Sam88 stated that NVR is a Hikvision OEM - so yes, they should work.

You may need to set IP, user/password, port configurations.

Also note, the Swann cameras during that deal post were higher end models and capable of the more advanced features than these LaView cameras. ( aka tripwire, intrusion detection, and such )

The cameras in many of the LaView kits are able to do motion detection functionality, so for the price they'll do well enough and compare well in value to many of the over priced imho consumer cloud cameras.

Mat2000-

Big thank you. I just donated $20 to ipcamtalk in your name. I've started reading all of your posts. I just bought six of these things for a company I work with.

Thanks Sellerslbc for the donation - ipcamtalk always can use some $ to cover webserver expenses.

Happy I could help you out.

Thanks Snuffaluffagus, jdougal09.

Hope this find helps those who have picked up kits add a camera or 2 to them, as I have found 4 cameras to be a couple too few for me.

What model hikvision nvrs are you using? I'm trying to get a low cost system up and running with good cameras. I don't want to build another blueiris solution.
