That's pretty hot for a 1080TI build

I called on this before and was told it comes with the larger power supply liquid cooled , fyi
Dell will price match of you want the in home service, but hard to beat a 4 year warranty through Costco if you use their credit card.
Prices are plummeting in last month though

It's got a 8700 not an 8700K. Doesn't necessarily kill the deal but if I'm getting a 1080ti I wouldn't want to settle on the processor. Still not a terrible deal tho.

I got basically the same system earlier this month from Dell Outlet for $1628 (before tax) when they were having the 12% off promo. It's a refurb but the warranty is still a year. Only differences on mine are: 32gb of RAM, 256gb drive is NVMe, and it's the 8700K proc. Highly recommend this system if you're in the market. Mine came with the OS on the 2tb HDD so I had to do an immediate format/reinstall to the NVMe drive. I also added the Micron 2tb SSD from the recent deal for $250. When paired with a g-sync monitor LIKE THE Alienware 34 inch this thing is amazing! It's also very quiet with the liquid cooling. I think they require the 850W power supply if you choose the 1080ti so the one in this deal should include that. This seems like a good price if you want a new one or you could wait for another Dell Outlet deal if you don't mind refurb.

$3000 is excessive for an htc vive computer... I'm running my Samsung Odyssey HMD with 70%+ higher resolution, runs flawless @ 90hz.
Computer cost a max of $1600 after tax. I bought it for just under $1100 after tax.
Alienware R6

Specs:

Intel Core i7-7700 (4.2 GHz Turbo, 8MB Cache)
16GB 2400MHz DDR4 RAM
Nvidia GTX 1080 8GB GDDR5X Graphics Card
2TB 7200 RPM Hard Drive --> I upgraded to 256gb m.2 for less than $100
