Man these things are getting cheap. Pretty good for an 80 plus gold unit. Ive seen some seasonic 550 platinums for like $60 lately too.

And from what ive learned, the G3 line is good but the fan is smaller and unfortunately they used a much more aggressive fan profile on them. People generally recommend the G2 line if noise is a concern. Lower wattage fan and much less aggressive fan profile.

I don't really need it, but for such a good price, so tempted. Maybe replace my cx650m with this one?

Granted I didn't have to deal with a rebate, but sorta annoyed I paid the same price for a b-stock unit. This is a pretty insane price for a new one.

Paid $50 for this last month. Seems to work fine for me, and seems well-constructed. Compact, so more space for cable management/accessories in my case. Eco-mode to turn off fans when not needed seems like a good feature.

I dunno. I can't tell the difference between a good and bad PSU. If it works, it works.

The person above brought up a good point of a smaller fan being noisier when under load, so that's a good thing to keep in mind in the future.

Fan is smaller because the unit itself is smaller but a much better fan, the PSU is also much better built G3 is their top of the line better than anything else PSUs they sell. Between the 2 i would get the G3 without a doubt if pricing is similar.
