solid choice for htpc users, or e-sports gamers. I would think you'd want to pop the extra fifty or so (for the 1050 ti) if you were going to be playing triple A titles, although Low Profile and gaming computers aren't necessarily all that common. I know we'll be a ways out from it, but I wonder what the 1150ti will cost and what it'll be capable of

Not a huge difference between the ti and non-ti cards at applicable quality settings... 10-15% even with the VRAM difference.

There have been a few ~$200 RX 570 deals lately, where the real action is at.

Otherwise... For a goodish deal on a 1050 Ti:

My guess for next gen... Rebrands. If we are lucky we get a cutdown 1060. Turing will be more computational oriented (miner and DX12 friendly).

I'm seriously thinking about it, but LP cards are worse than single-fan ones? Is this a good deal?

I've been pretty impressed with the MSI LP cooling solution. It's better than the lower tier single fan full width solutions, I think. It's just bit louder, but whinier at full use. I think they turn off at idle too.

Good deal if you don't care about the downside.

Why do people complain about MSI rebate in the review? I've done MSI rebates the last couple years and I got them. One guy complained filling the form out was too much work and he had to cut the box to get the UPC. They take it to the point of saying the rebate is a scam. What's with these guys always slandering?

the rebates are annoying and you wait months before you get the debit card. then there's the potential of forgetting to use the card since it has a fairly short expiration date kind of like a coupon. of course instant savings beats rebates any day but i'll take it at the end of the day for 5-10 minutes of effort putting together the rebate proof.

But I've seen success stories of the Ti's being able to run most VR games. So it might be worth it if you want VR capabilities on a pc that can only take lp cards

Fair enough for a real niche application. I doubt the experience in most games will be all that great.

Should do about 60 FPS at 1440p.

Thanks, I bought two so I could run them in SLI. And I bought six others for Bitcoin mining.

I don't believe that Blizzard supports SLI for their games.
