Probably a marginal hdmi cable (make sure to get one that supports 18gbps)

Confirmed that the 18Gbps cable helps.

Yes, I use the one that is provided by LG.

I google this and people have said about this too.

Cable could have gotten slightly damaged or manufacturer defect. Doesn't take much to cause errors at 18 gigabits

Lowest price on triple camel is 543. However the lg 43" tv which supposedly also has ips has been a lot lower but I think when display goes to sleep you have to turn TV back on with remote instead of just waking computer up

I just got the 29-UB55B LG monitor and have it connected via a mini DP-DP cable I got from Amazon
Same problem -- flickering occasionally and just loses the signal from the computer other

I guess I should try a new cable then -- any suggestions as to brand?

I think the TV doesn't have DP or USB-C

I have this, the USB-C connection only supplies 7W. Included cables are just okay. Stock firmware is garbage and has a lot of issues use the LG Onscreen Control app to update. Despite that I've really enjoyed this monitor, it's a great form factor for 4K.

Yes unfortunately. A recent firmware update bumped it up to 240hz so its less noticeable.

43 inches monitor?? A little excessive no?
Depends on each person's needs. For me, I work in IT so use multiple computers at once. This monitor allows me to have the equivalent of four 20" monitors running at 1080P. Saves me quite a bit of desk space over having multiple individual monitors. It's also nice to use in multiple monitor mode on the same PC and have no bezels in between when you need to enlarge an app over multiple monitors.
