Need a big SSD to pair with my NVMe and replace my old spinners. Is there any benefit to getting 2 500gb vs waiting for the 1 tb to drop?

Just get 1 TB for $199.99 here - do the SD search if needed:

kinda lame that this drive has issues with the old amd drivers. If you are running the fx chipsets or lower then dont buy this. The amd achi drivers makes it stall and lag. Using the microsofts standard achi drivers works but you are losing a lot of random read/write IOPs. my desktop is the fx 8350.

My old laptop running amd a6 has trouble recognizing the drive and dont see it as a boot drive... i do like amd, but it makes me wonder if i should go ryzen in my next desktop build or just stick with intel...

It sounds like those AMD drivers have issues with the drive, rather than the other way around. Let's put the blame where it's due.

OP, please fix the title. It's not MLC (2 bit per cell) which is the PRO line.... It's TLC (3 bits per cell) for the EVO line. Thanks.
