Not the best deal, but a good deal if someone needs it today. Prime Day deal + Amex was better.
As usual, I'd recommend waiting just a little bit longer for the release of the 11 series as we all expect the prices to drop even lower. For California, not having to pay 9.5% tax makes this a good deal.

EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 Ti FTW ULTRA SILENT GAMING Graphics Card B&H # EV8GP46678KR MFR # 08G-P4-6678-KR

Must clip the 51 dollar coupon and fill out the $20 Rebate.

This is one of the more highly recommended versions of the GTX 1070 because its from EVGA, runs quiet & cool thanks to the ACX 3.0 cooling system, and has EVGA's customer support + 3-year warranty. This will play games at 1080p with ease and highly recommended for high resolution gaming or VR.

2432 CUDA cores, 1607MHz core speed (boost clock 1797MHz)
8GB 256-bit GDDR5, VR & G-Sync ready, dual wing-blade fans
1x DVI, 3x DisplayPort (version 1.4), 1x HDMI 2.0b

If you register it on EVGA you get Destiny 2 + expansion pass, too. Good deal. This one takes up 3 lanes, though. Is the SC Gaming much worse at cooling/noise? Same price

The whole purpose of this particular model is that it is silent. This is due to the large heat sinks on top of the board that provide extra cooling.

Since EVGA prides themselves in perfectly flat video cards that fit within the size of the pci slots, they added an extra layer. Most of EVGA's marketing pokes fun at how MSI and Gigabyte video cards bulge beyond the size of PCI slots so to save face, they compromised the extra PCI slot to not look like hypocrites.

Wow this is a better deal! No rebate and a stronger card! And you still get the free Destiny 2+expansion pass.

It won't be as silent as the 1070, but you could take this one apart and install water cooling since it is standard two slot.

Damn tax kills it. Also, heard the DT version isn't as good.

EVGA's naming convention of "DT" means "de-tuned". No guarantee you can overclock it like the "FTW" models of EVGA 1080 cards. What you receive is what you get in terms of clock speeds. Think of it as "stock gpu speed" as intended by Nvidia.

Here is a discussion about the DT card:

This is a three slot card.
I'd have pulled trigger if it fitted in my mini-ITX case :/

wouldn't pay anywhere near $400 with new cards coming in few months only next gen cards will support ray tracing.

Ran a fire strike test on my DT last night and got a 21k score, and it said the clock was at 1854... Basically the same as the non-DT version. No overclocking, I just tested it straight out of the box

Dude, you can't just say that. Almost all cards now "support" ray tracing. The next generation of nVidia cards are supposed to have a deal with MS making a proprietary engine (API?) for cheesy half-baked ray tracing. It won't be real ray tracing and there's no telling what kind of performance we will see out of the different models of cards.

Just read up, homie.

No matter what, the new cards will be faster, and that will push these old ass cards down a lot in price. This aint no deal. This is retailers/manufacturer's nickel and diming gamers now that miners no longer buy their 2+ year old GPU's. Prices were lower last year til mining took off again. Mining isn't taking off again. So why are prices so high, and why do the same dozen shills vote up these crappy fake deals?
