For those who are interested in unlocking this phone, I still see some eBay unlockers for $15.

Ya tires phone had been 49 all along not sure what the deal is...

Also YMMV as the newer version of the e4 wasn't unlockable

I bought 2 of these last year at Wally world for $39 each and got unlock codes for $2 on eBay. Looks like the $2 unlocks are a thing of the past. I only see $15 and up unlock codes now. ☹️

Well, they were always out of stock! They added more back in stock just now.

Yeah but I just looked and these are the "remote unlockers" who want to remote into your PC and such. I don't really like giving the Russian hackers direct access to my PC for purposes of unlocking a phone.....

Duh! This is for folks who can't wait till the next calling card deal is available. Isn't that obvious? For instance, my phone screen is broken and I have been waiting to get hold of a cheapo badly for few weeks now.

Not really sure why Wally and Target haven't cleared out their Verizon Prepaid and unlocked E4s yet but it's gotta happen soon. Probably gonna pass on the VP model but would grab a couple unlocked E4's if the price gets low enough. Kinda hard to beat the recent VP E4 Plus, Blade V8 and LG G6 deals.

Got an E4 for my mom back when I was 40 bucks at Walmart but back then 3 different eBay unlocking vendors said they did not have a working unlock code for it and gave me back my money. They said something like IMEI not in database or something like that. I really enjoyed the LG G6 deal for 139 bucks as well. That's the phone I'm currently using. Love the camera and aspect ratio. Oreo update is nice too.

The guy I used, used teamviewer which in of itself is safe but definitely they could drop a package. With that said he unlocked my 5 phones. You can update and everything. APN no longer automatically populates. You can also use an old PC you wiped and can wipe after.
