I can only see the cash back on the dryer and not the combo.

The fine print says it is over 12 months that I will receive the points. Seems odd.

Like loaning $300 to your neighbor who gives you a $335 item to secure the loan -but here's the twist- you get to keep the item whether he pays you back or not!

But when he DOES pay you, it's a little bit at a time and you have to make a dozen special trips to the bank to exchange the d*mn PESETAS he pays with instead of good old USA$$.

Well, you got the $335 item for your $300. If he goes back to wherever-he-came-from you have the item. If he pays, it's gravy. Just be sure it's an item you actually want.

Fixed it:

Oh. Sorry. You were arguing against the $700 washer. I thought you were just arguing about the $300.

and I agree. Is the washer/drier pair fairly priced at $635? (there's a $65 coupon)

How do you get $700? When I look at my credit card bill I see $300(+ tax).
When I get a $25 item each month they don't charge me anything at all.. not even taxes.

You can hate it if you want, but the numbers only get better with the application of coupons, freecash and cashback.

Here's a list of things you can hate:
1) Inability to find anything you like at Sears that you actually want from the three brands totalling over 300
2) over pricing of the items
3) difficulties spending the monthly allotment like:
__a)no stores near you
__b)no free shipping under $35 and even that could change.
__c)no $25 items you want at Sears or Kmart
__d)overpricing of the $25 items
__e)really? Every month for a year?
and of course,
4) They're going out of business next week. They said so on Business Insider.

But no, they don't get $700 out of your wallet.

My whole point was that Sears isn't a good one to loan money too. Kind of like that friend that says "lemme hold a dollar, just so I'm not broke. I won't spend it...."
