Using a VPN to access U.S. region services.

Hey guys, hoping someone more knowledgeable than I can shed some light on this for me. I have a friend who is currently going to school in the Caribbean, and apparently she can't access things like pandora, spotify, youtube(?), etc. I'm assuming she can get around this by using a VPN.

Is there anything in particular I should be looking for when I look through the different vpn providers? In particular, does she need the provider to have gateways in both her area (Caribbean) and the U.S?

I took a quick look at one provider, Private Internet Access, and noticed they have no gateways in the carribean itself, just Mexico and the U.S. Does this count them out, or is only the U.S. gateway important?

I'm no expert but I would guess that the VPN would need to have servers in the US.

Many VPN services have a free trial period, so she can test them and see if they work.

Some even have free accounts that she can try.

I believe that it is limited to 10GB/day.

10GB/month, not day Smilie
But there are often promos that up it to 20/30/40/50GB a month.

Steely blue eyes with no love in them scan the world
And a humourless smile with no warmth within greets the world

you need a us ip, and hopefully one that hasn't been banned by the services.
