I misread OP as Fatal Buffet and was initially confused.

What part of "FATAL Buffet" sounds yummy to you? All I can think of is a buffet of onion-fried-triple-dipped-in-barbecue-sauce cheeseburgers with a side of extra sugar and mayonnaise coca cola beverages and fries.

Back on topic, I wouldn't recommend this game unless you're a die-hard SAO fan. Sure, it's much better than the other 3 games, but it's still just a game pretending to be an mmo.
You have to make yourself believe your character is in an mmo world to fully understand what's going on. $10 is the most I'd pay if I decided one day that I'd want to return.

For anyone who's already played it, I got to the part after beating the SS Flugal mission and certain characters start becoming b-words (you know who I mean). It's frustratingly stupid plot drama.

I would've loved this as a third person shooter RPG with a more Western influence.

Then it wouldn't be SAO...just a western third-person shooter.

But I think I get what you mean. Most anime games aren't take serious when it comes to development, mainly because they know fans of the anime will buy them regardless of their quality.
It makes me sad. I did like the Attack On Titan 2 game, though.
And Legend of Korra game.
That's about all that comes to mind.

Do you eat live animals? I dont; therefore there needs to be a fatality

I mean in terms of visuals, physics, and game mechanics. I've only watched gameplay of Fatal Bullet, but it looks very "floaty" and "slippery" for lack of better terms. Can you imagine a more "grounded" experience with more realistic character movements while still preserving the fast nature of the game. Games like The Division, Mass Effect, Ghost Recon Wildlands, etc. would be good examples. And maybe graphically speaking, we can have more detailed-looking anime models that don't look so flat and plain. After seeing the upcoming game Jump Force using the Unreal Engine, I can definitely see it. The game graphically looks great while STILL preserving the anime look of its characters. It's definitely impossible.

and look at this mod of black ops 3 using neptunia character models. ITS TOTALLY POSSIBLE

Exactly why I said anime games aren't taken serious. To rephrase, most developers don't give the games enough resources and come up with half-baked products that sell through name alone.
For instance, I mentioned the Legend of Korra game. Platinum Games (developers) took that game as a side job to fund their real games. It wasn't up to par with their previous works or their next game, Nier Automata.

Game is decent and gameplay I really enjoyed. Not a fan of SAO and still enjoyed the game, but it had a bunch of dating girl segments with VN style scenes.

That stuff I didn't care about, so just skipped through it. Took me 40+ hours to complete.
