you need actual cartridges to play? pass... nice portability dumbasses

I can buy a used PSP for the same price and play multiple systems and not have to drag around 50 carts.
I found my PSP the other day and powered it on. Found a bunch of old games and played for a while. Still an amazing system. Especially if you get emulators.

Hyperkin makes decent products for folks that still have their original games. I have their Retron 5 and am fairly happy with it. Sure, you can pirate everything with little effort, but being able to play on a modern TV using original controlers, etc. is pretty cool.

Junk... Had the first one and the newer one. Both are garbage. Cheap Chinese rom players are just as good if not better.

You can buy one cartridge which has hundreds of games, so you don't have to take every cartridge with you.

Think of how people hacked the Nintendo DS with a flash cart and SD cart with hundreds of games.....same principle

To bring back an SD oldie: "No HDMI?!"
No joke, though... Would have been better with HDMI instead of RCA outs.

That's why I shy away from putting money into these.

I love the concept but worry about the execution.

I had one. Not sure if it was first or second gen, but the D pad was horrendous. Made most games unplayable. But I liked the concept.
