I understand where are you coming from and the benchmark that you establish however bear in mind that this is still a deal especially at higher saving. Clearly this is mostly subjective

It was 20%, then 15% and now 10%. There's no more reason to think it will go up to 15% then there is to think it might go down to 5%. I'd rather just save the $5 now then wait around another month or two for the mere possibility of an extra $2.50. It's a little late in the game to be gambling like that since Dragon Ball FighterZ and Smash Bros and Pokemon are all coming out soonish. And with such high demand for those games there's no reason to think they'll be needing to dilute the market with discounted giftcards to hit their sales quotas.

FYI the switch versions have some issues with framerate drops and dropped frames; even more than the original games. Ars Technica did an article on it. Apparently it's best on PS4/XB1 if you have those options.

I might still buy on switch for portability, personally.
