Anyone know anything about the quality of these? Try to find some reviews online, and surprisingly not very many found.

I have the cedar top, and it's been excellent so far. The electronics are basic and don't sound the best, pretty much as expected with anything near this price range. But the guitar itself has a nice, warm tone. And the one I got (at least) was pretty much set up in very playable condition out of the box, just needed tuning. I took it to work and let a few guys try it out too, including one in a regularly-gigging band. While it doesn't come close to his $2000 Larrivee, he was shocked at how good it sounded when I told him how much it cost. So much so that he said he might even consider picking one up as a beater and for when taking the Larrivee might be too risky.

Ended up returning this. Bad buzz on high E. Looking down neck, could see a hump/twist around 15th fret. Tried to adjust, but then low E was way too high. Finish along neck fret areas was bubbled too. I could have lived with that, but not the twist/hump in neck. Return process has been a PITA. Was originally going to exchange, but after length of returning and hassles, didn't want to deal with monoprice again if another guitar defective.
Sometimes, you get what you pay for. Going to spend a bit more and go for name brand (Yamah).

Wow, that sucks, sorry to hear it. I've never had to deal with returning something defective with them, I guess I've been lucky.
