Do you have the same-branded transformer powering these lights? Reviews for the transformer are really bad, so wanted to know your experience.

For the price I would try these lights, but it seems like they use specific connectors that only work with the aforementioned bad transformer.

I'm also wondering if these will work with any transformer, or if you have to use the Better Homes and Gardens one.

Unless their branded transformer produces magical pixies that are different than the pixies that are typically used in transformers these should work, just need to snip iff the connector and your good...

I got some of these from the same series last year when these were on sale and purchased the same branded transformer. It's been working great ever since and installation was a breeze. Like others have said, you could probably just snip the end and use a standard transformer. I was really impressed by the amount of light they put out for the wattage. The color temperature is warm so they look much better than those cheap solar powered lights.

What is the distance between the linkage of each light if you hooked them up in series?

I want to say it gives you a total of 10 ft (5ft to source, 5ft to the next light), but I'm not totally certain.

I have some of these lights. They are 18v instead of the typical 12v. I've been using the Walmart transformer for a couple months with no issues.

Would like to purchase 3 of these to illuminate pillars on my balcony. Assuming I would purchase a 3 way connector, connect to a transformer and plug into an outlet?
