Home Depot has the outdoor power equipment blower and trimmer that include an extra 9.0 battery. So it includes tool, charger, and 2-9.0 batteries. The trimmer is $299 and blower is $279

I can confirm that's about right. Doesn't seem very long but in reality it should suit your needs. I have 2 giant maple trees and in the fall I can collect most of leaves in 1-2 charges.

Return won't work unless you can find this deal in store. Ordered online, it'll invoice as "1 item" so the return is all or nothing.

And *this* is why HD has such a difficult return policy.

You could Ebay it for about $100. After fees figure $75 to be safe. Helps offset the cost if you'll never need 2 batteries.

I'm pretty sure the 9amphr battery sell for around 50-60 after sellers fees and shipping accounted for on ebay.

I haven't checked in awhile though.

NVM just checked $80 BIN shipped.

Maybe some just want the trimmer or blower and need 2-9.0 batteries?

I thought the exact same thing. I just bought the trimmer and got the hedge trimmer free. I trimmed bushes with the hedge trimmer for most of a day and the 9 ah battery was still going. I don't see much need for a second battery. The rapid charger should get it ready to go again fairly quickly. If you must have a second battery, you could always buy one off ebay for much cheaper than buying both sets. JMHO

A 5.0aH battery is one of the three options available via Acme Tool. It is the worst of the three value-wise. The hedge trimmer and the blower will resell for more, and you can use that money to buy a 12.0aH battery. No tax either.
