This model bulb cannot adjust the white color or temperature, only dim. If you don't mind that, it's a good price.

$10 more for California residents. I hate this damn power-hungry state.

Need more hue bulbs but not 2700 nor 5k daylights so unfortunately that means I have to buy ambiance bulbs to dial in a nice 3500 color.

Home Depot has it for $39.97 in California, unlike Amazon with the $10 upcharge.

Good deal. I wish the BR30 floodlight style bulbs would go on sale every once and while.

I got the White and Color Ambiance A19 60W deal on Prime Day but feel the light is not as bright as normal LED light. What style number should I get for bright what light? Thanks.

I just saw that Target Cartwheel has 20% Hue until 8/4.

Edit: NM posted too soon. Doesn't look like they carry the BR30.

Probably cheaper to just get some dimmable bulbs from the dollar store, and then a cheap smart dimmer....Zwave or something that will work without a hub...Or use an android device as a hub, or so I've heard.

Only wifi works without a hub, because the router is the "hub". Zigbee and zwave still need something with a compatible radio to communicate with. And LED bulbs last significantly longer than traditional bulbs, which offsets some of the cost. Some estimates suggest they can last over 10 years at 12 hours a day, which would make these roughly $1/year... and that's cheap enough for me.
