LG OLED65B7A - Good target price?

8 10 July 29, 2018 at 01:25 PM
I am looking into purchasing an LG OLED65B7A (or P or C7). I have read through numerous old threads and apparently missed my best previous opportunity for this TV. It seems it has sold for as low as $1,200, but maybe more recently in the $1,899 to $1,999 range. What would be a good offer to make to a site like Greentoe for this or a similar TV?

Thanks!

Honestly not sure many are available anymore. I think $1899 is a great price and you should take it.

FYI for history sake, I didn't see an attainable $1899, but it was a price I saw discussed in other threads.

This is the price history that I have captured scouring the forums and other sources. It includes B, C and E both 7 and 8 varieties.
OLED65B7$1,899.003/22/2018
OLED65B7A$1,399.004/1/2018
OLED65B7A$1,700.004/14/2018
OLED65E7P$2,299.004/14/2018
OLED65C8P$2,449.005/27/2018
OLED65B7A$1,800.006/1/2018
OLED65C8P$2,299.007/1/2018
OLED65B8P$1,798.007/3/2018
OLED65B7A$1,999.007/3/2018
OLED65E8PUA$2,499.007/10/2018
OLED65B7P$1,579.99*7/11/2018
OLED65C8P$1,900.007/11/2018
OLED65C8P$2,199.007/11/2018
OLED65B7A$1,749.00*7/13/2018
OLED65B7A$1,999.007/29/2018
*Refurbished model

After all this, I have actually set my sights on a 75" inch instead, and am targeting a Sony 75X940E/F - hoping to hit under ~$2500, but may have to go to ~$2,849-ish. I hope this information is helpful to others.

Just pick up the 65" C8 for $2,199 and price protect it to $1,699-$1,799. It will be around the same price as the 2017 models, but all new improvements.

Offer $2000 at Greentoe, they may counter at $2,299. You counter back at $2,199 and hold firm. Sometimes they reject $2,199, if they have no stock.

I actually decided to buy the OLED65B7A on the recent eBay price drop from Beach Audio. It was $1749 with free shipping and no tax, arrived yesterday double-boxed. I can't wait to set it up. I also finalized my AV Receiver purchase today, which is part of why I was okay going for a B7 vs a C8.
