Amazon has a promotion when you buy a Nikon D5600 camera body for $597 and add the AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-140mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR lens which is on sale for $299.99 they will give you a $200 promotional discount for a final price of $697 (You will see the final discount applied at the end of checkout). This seems like a good price as the official bundle for the camera and lens is currently $897.

To get this offer, under the special offers and promotions, you need to select add both to cart. Alternatively, you can add the camera base and lens separately. The Camera base is at the following URL.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...UTF8&psc=1

The lens is at the following URL:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...0DER&psc=1

You can also pick up the D7200 and 18-140mm lens for $1097 which is also $200 under the official bundle price.

Worked for me as well.

It seems like, lens and body has to be added separately. I mean first add body only and then look for 18-140 lens sold by Amazon.com, add that to cart. During checkout you will see $200 discount applied.

It will help it lens link is also added to the original post.

Any deals on just the D5600 body by itself? I have an aging D5000 I'm itching to upgrade out of. The lenses are still good.

Bought the g7 last week. Want to take stills at MP higher than 16...was recommended the d3400...although this is more recent than my g7 and the 3400 I looked at sample videos/pics with the d5600 & 13-140mm lens on YT and I am thoroughly unimpressed! It has poor colors. Not a great lens so I'll wait..

Probably not the lens you'd want to test a body with. This is a "kit" level lens. I prefer a couple primes myself. 35mm f/1.8 or the 50mm is fantastic on these sensors.

The camera you are referring to is a grey market camera from a non-authorized Nikon seller with no US warranty. Grey market cameras are generally always sold a couple of hundred dollars cheaper than their legit counterparts. I am not saying not to buy a grey market camera, there are plenty of articles online that compare the merits of grey market versus a legit US camera. But for those who want to buy a legit camera from a Nikon authorized dealer, you need to compare this deal against other authorized dealers.

Are you freaking kidding me? I would love this; however this should be all of $200-$300 max now for just the body! And that's based of "best" prices even though these things are way, way over priced. No matter what the lowest is.

You can find used deal for $300 D3300 *AND* nice kit lens just with no twisting screen. I like the articulating screen but that darn hinge is not worth hundreds.

But these cameras do fine 1080 video(also); but that's if you pull your own focus; like a pro and plug-in a mike to stop the lens noises. You also can't pan ultra fast without rolling shutter but those are the minor negatives; in otherwise pro cameras. Even if they are called entry. You can get used to the controls. They are there.

Plus new mirror-less cams are coming and the prices will plunge.

$700 is completely ridiculous and only even tried due to rabid first adopter braggarts diving up the prices on these unbalanced photographic benefits (metrics/features) systems.

You camera system doesn't just need the one new wiz bang; or even 3 or 4. It's about 10 to 40 major things combined. Photographically. Including handling, speeds, options(lens, flash) and total value.
