Amazon and HomeDepot have the Uniden U-Bell doorbell on sale for 89.99. Amazon says it's a prime member exclusive. I searched and didn't see anyone else had posted this. I did reference some of the other products listed in a previous deal post Wiki and couldn't find those cameras in a comparable price range.

The original post that from SD shows it has been rebranded a bunch! https://slickdeals.net/f/11224023-uniden-u-bell-wifi-video-doorbell-169-99-free-shipping?p=111675315#post111675315

There are some good youtube videos on the Clare Doorbell which seems to also be the same thing.

This is a great deal as it's half price of the Ring Pro and there's no subscription fees. However I would not recommend it unless you are ok with the facts below: 1) Poor night vision as the IR reflection is bad. You can see white dots when the IR is on. You must clean the lens periodically to minimize the IR reflection. 2) The button pressed event is registered to Hikvision's platform service (cloud based), you must register the Hik-connect online account in order to receive the notification. 3) it may connect to your Hikvision NVR or other PC based surveillance system. But the static IP address configuration is missing. You must go to your router's DHCP server to reserve the IP so that you may add it to the NVR. 4) The image quality is not as good as other HIKVISION 1080p cameras. It looks like a 720p camera.

How does this compare to the iseeBell?

https://smile.amazon.com/iseeBell...Src=detail

I've been eyeing the iseeBell because it was highly rated here among other places:
https://www.lifewire.com/best-sma...as-4145064

Both have local storage and no cloud fees which is a plus for me, but please chime in if you have real life experience with either of these. Thanks in advance!

I have heard this is just a rebranded Hik-Vision camera which comes in several brands (ie - RCA). Reviews are good on ipcamtalk. Definitely in for 1 on this since it will play nicely with recording software and you aren't forced into cloud storage.

The only thing I noticed right away was the U-Bell is 180 degree and 1080p whereas that iseeBell is 185 degrees of vision and 720p? I don't have either product yet, just ordered the U-Bell from Amazon today

Good deal, Hikvision OEM. LaView also has a rebranded version.

ipcamtalk has a good thread on it...
https://ipcamtalk.com/threads/swe...-ir.22155/

a couple other threads there also, that is the main one.

The motion sensor is way too sensitive. We could never get it to stop giving false alerts.

Note this should also work well with Hikvision OEM NVRs ( LaView, Some Swanns, .. )

Hi Ken,

Definitely significantly better and more reliable than any cloud dependent product.

Note, in addition on on-premise storage, You can configure stuff to be saved to the cloud if you like. Normally people only set it up to send alerts to the cloud / email.

Hi Modenacart,

You can combine this with something like Blue Iris and tune the heck out of the alerts.

I have the La View branded version of this. Works with Blue Iris for video and audio recording. Haven't found a way to have blue Iris alert me if button is pressed, but haven't looked very hard. Night vision/infared is TERRIBLE, literally unusable if your front door is not well lit. I have lights on at night so it's not a deal breaker. Be sure to check voltage of your doorbell transformer, mine was the minimum and has worked great without having to upgrade. Overall glad I purchased but it's definitely not perfect.

got Skybell a couple of years ago on Black Friday for $129. I've been very happy with it.

I'd pay the extra for free cloud storage recordings, and being able to answer the door through your phone.
