Ooma Telo - VOIP System - Reg $99 marked down / clearance for $25 - YMMV

Tonight, I noticed my local Walmart had several Ooma Telo units on the clearance aisle, marked down from $99 to $97, a laughable discount. When I got home, I checked brickseek and it looks like other stores are clearing these out at varying prices. A few stores have it in stock for a little as $25.

Zip code that shows it in stock @ $25 - 79907 (El Paso, TX)

I would watch and buy one again, but I have, and love my Ooma that we've had for probably 8 years - I effectively have a 'free' landline as I bought in before the taxes were mandated.

Good luck!

I've been using one for about 4 years. I don't use the service but maybe once a quarter, but keep it just for emergencies or rare instances when I can't find my phone

same but i think about a year ago they said they are no longer supporting my ooma and tried to hard sell me to new one. I am waiting for any day when they brick the old white square ones with grey on top like you and I have. -Mean Old Bean

I searched using "ooma" back 'til Feb 2018 and didn't see it, so I posted what you see in the OP.

Google bricked the old Obihai that I had when they made a change to Google Voice. Totally stunk.

It was nice to have one at the house in case my phone was charging or my parents were visiting and needed to make a phone call. I could use my handset to connect to my phone's contacts. Nice setup that I miss.

It will be 10 years next year since I started using Ooma hub as landline replacement. I work from home and it helped saving me lots of $$ for my phone bills. I will not convert to Ooma Telo because then I will have to pay the monthly tax/FCC/911 charges.

Ooma now charges about $5+ of monthly fees in taxes and 911 service charges.. so end of the year u still pay $60+ for this.... A lot of folks think it is free

Still pretty cheap for the equivalent of a landline. If you have a WAF to consider, that is. I would go all cell, but not her. Since a regular landline would cost me $30 a month, this is a pretty solid savings.

I still have the original OOMA Hub and Scout in my house just for emergencies or if my cell phone battery is low!

I love the service, and have never had problems with it!
