Tide Simply Clean & Fresh Detergent, 40oz bottle, $2.50

Great price on Tide Laundry detergent. Lowes has a 40 ounce bottle of Tide Clean & Fresh detergent for $2.50 with free store pickup. Deal is only good today (8/3).

That is ony 6.2 cents per ounce, which compares to 14.1 cents per ounce for the large 170oz bottle of Tide from Costco, and this same item is $12.29 on Amazon.

Stay clean!

Just something to keep in mind. Tide simply clean is a lower quality than regular tide. So you can't compare regular tide price with tide simply clean.

Yea the reviews on Amazon aren't good at all. A lot of people stating that they got rashes from using this version.

dpham00, good callout , but I've used " Fresh & Clean" side by side with regular Tide and could see no difference, in fact the fresh "Tide" smell seems to last longer with the "Fresh & Clean".

Based on my personal experience, both work equally well, and at this price difference for me it is a no brainer...I stocked up with a 6 month supply!

I have tried this as well, side by side with regular tide, but with lesser results. This one did not clean as well. A small sample size, but just my results.

Have tried this and regular tide. This doesn't compare to regular tide. Noticeable difference with 2 kids that dirty up their clothes. The smell also gave me a migraine like headache.

Well the simply clean line is the bargain line. It doesn't have the same cleaning power as regular tide. Of course if it is adequate for you then great, use it. But honestly I have seen regular tide 50oz at supermarket on sale for $3. That's about the same price as this deal. Or I have seen simply clean line for $2 /40 oz.

Also regular price for simply clean at Walmart is $8.94/138oz which is 6.5¢ /oz vs this deal which is 6.3¢/oz. This deal is cheaper, but marginally so over regular price.

Don't get me wrong this price isn't terrible, but just not a slick price, imo. If you need it now then sure get it. But if you are like me and have lots of detergent, then I would wait for a better deal to stock up.

I got some Persil during Amazon Prime Days and I discovered that I love that stuff. It's better than Tide, Gain or anything else. It's just a rebranding of Wisk which I just learned.

There is definitely a chemical difference between the two, and efficacy is indeed lower for Simply Tide. Source: P&G friends

That's a true SD'er mentality, I love it!
I buy all of my cleaning supplies every six months or so, give or take. My local Walmart had extra-strength Prosil pods (26pk) for $2 a month ago. The woman watching self checkout thought I was high as a kite Peace

I got 2 years worth of cascade dishwasher pods on clearance almost 2 years ago. So I'm currently on the hunt for the next super-slick deal on that. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

Edit: Also wanted to agree with others that this deal is far from slick. I bought this brand of tide (free & gentle tho) specifically for the dogs' beds and they didn't come out looking nearly as clean as they usually do.

When I first commented on this and I swear it was free and clear that was posted, as I saw a white bottle. Not this bargain brand.

this version of tide is garbage compared to the regular tide. Quite a few members of my family have tried this version and all said the same thing, it cleans nowhere near as well as the regular tide. If it works for you, great, but it has a significant amount less cleaning power vs the red (original) version

I picked up 100oz persil for $6...imo a better deal than this. Some areas it was only $5.
