This spreader is rated to hold up to 5,000 square feet of Scotts lawn products. It has a control panel with precision rate settings for more accurate coverage and its EdgeGuard technology blocks off the right side of the spreader pattern to prevent product from spreading onto non-lawns areas. -Corwin

I bought this season about 4 months ago and very disappointed. Build quality is chincy at best. Have a very hard time evenly distributing product on my 4500 sqft yard that's mildly uneven. Maybe it's better on flat even yard i don't know. I had to give up halfway thru using it and throw 'er down with my hands.

I got this exact broadcast spreader at Aldi for $12 on clearance. Would be worth checking out if you have an Aldi nearby.

I have a small yard, and have an old classic Scotts Drop Spreader. I was considering one of these, but last year got a Scotts Wizz. The thing works greats for small 2,000-3,000sf yards. Its battery operated an gives you a lot more control and holds just enough,

I would love for a good quality small broadcast spreader, its just isnt out there. The Wizz has a few quality problems too, but for the price the Wizz seems better for a small yard.

If you have over 3,000sf, get an earthwaty spreader and be done with it, these cheap scott spreaders aren't really worth it.

Walmart Help Center [walmart.com]

For price protection, I selected "Shopping Walmart.com" for the Choose your topic dropdown box and "Pricing & Promotions" for the What can we help with? dropdown box. You will then get options to Chat, Phone, or Email.

Completely agree. Picked up several of those Wizz when they were $6 or $7 last year at Walmart. Then bought this spreader when it was down to $15 at Walmart but returned it after realizing it's worse than my 20 year old Scott's spreader.

Walmart's by be have these Walmart branded Chinese Expert Gardener spreaders with air wheels from $10-35: https://brickseek.com/walmart-inv...=261349383

I picked one up for $10. Think it'd be a lot better if the tires were a bit bigger, but think I might be able to upgrade them with ones from Harbor Freight.

Always broadcast on sale never drop. It's not a good idea to use this type if you have flower beds as the fertilizer etc shouldn't be used with plants and flowers.
