Since it's tax free this weekend, this isn't a bad deal. If you got the $285 deal at costco, you'd pay more with tax.

Is the $285 deal still going on at Costco? I don't have Microcenter near me.

Tax-free is also not apply to electronics in Texas. Texas is cheap and they suck the most you can save us 10 bucks that's it

one thing I did find out about the new iPADs is that the screen is one unit with the case because of the pen support so if you crack your screen it will cost you 200 vs the standard 100 that most charge or by getting a kit for $30-40. Microcenter also gives you a $5 discount for a case when you buy the iPAD.

Texas will have the sales tax holiday(s) on Friday August 10,2018 through Sunday August 12, 2018.

Here is the state of Texas detailed list of taxable and tax exempt items.

https://comptroller.texas.gov/tax...otwear.php

Only items under $100 qualify for any exemption...If an item costs $100 and 1 cent the tax exemption is ZERO...No reduction in sales tax at all for items that otherwise qualify for the exemption if the price is greater than $100! TRANSLATION - NO PARTIAL EXEMPTION FOR ITEMS THAT COST MORE THAN $100!!!
