I've been tracking it for a while and IMHO it is the lowest price for this modem (new).

Don't waste $51 on this because this can only go 300 mbps and most providers provide way faster than that. Go with one that can at least do 400 mbps or 940 mbps
Speak for yourself, Xfinity/ comcast barely does 300 and you have to pay 20 bucks for that on top of internet package. Not everyone has above 300mb and in live in houston, tx. Have to pay premium price for above 100mb in most cases, even at&t.

I'm currently using an SB6121, will this be that much of an upgrade?

Was originally looking at this after owning and using a SB6121 for years. I subscribe to Xfinity and get the blast plus (150mbs) but ended up going with a netgear cm600. It's a 24x8 instead of this which is 16x4. My speeds are 170mbs on average. It's a good price but I'd go with something with more bands to futureproof.

I upgraded from a SB6121 and doubled my download speed. But YMMV depending on router and such.

I agree with you but In 100mb case this will be overkill, as a 6141 will be more than sufficient for 100mb. In fact I used to have 6121 and even that hit 100+.

Keep in mind - this doesnt have a phone jack if youve still got a landline and are replacing a leased one that does...im getting 940 out of my sb8200 on xfinity and had to buy a $10 old arris modem off ebay to use for landline...all the on tv screen caller id and app voicemail and transcribing/etc work as they did with the leased unit..

Yeah, that's true I was just speaking out in the fact not everyone has access to above 300mb. I had 250mb down with xfinity for free with a promo contract, so i did buy this for about 50 bucks through amazon with a coupon they had, but lowest it's been has been like 60 bucks.

When you say you were getting 120-125 and then 170-180, I assume that means when you were wired directly to the modem? What wireless speeds do you get?
