Duplicate post by me can be removed. I didn't see a way to remove it myself.

I've used similar planters by a different company (Lechuza) with good results for years.
This price is less than half the price of the lechuza planter of the same size.

Assuming the cashback is used fully (and is a genuine $40 in cashback points), the price is effectively $5.

I'm new to the sears points game, is there any way to tell when it expires or how it is handed out prior to purchase?

I did purchase the planter, but I haven't been credited with the points, yet.
I think I read that the points can take up to a week to be reflected on my account.

When I mouse over my current total $0.47 in points, it tells me part of it expires march, 2019. Maybe the points expire a year from the purchase date.

Looks like it expires 14 days after they add it to your account.

Thanks OP!

The listing has been changed from $40.50 in cashback points, to 405 points.

$4.05 in cashback now, maybe (I didn't check the conversion rate).

They honored the original $40 in cashback.
The points showed up in my account today, and I redeemed them.

alf321 was correct - it was a 14 day expiration.
