Several eBay sellers have this TV on sale for $649.99 with free shipping. Checkout with coupon code PRONTO15 to save $97.50, making this TV $552.49 before tax.

I personally have this TV, and it's amazing for the price, however, some people went looking for problems with test screens. Some of those people have found banding and other uniformity issues. For this price there is a bit of gamble on the panel you receive, but it's rarely a problem in standard everyday viewing, in my opinion.

I think rtings was a bit unfair, but some swear by their reveiws. The quality control is one reason to get one local for easy returns and avoid some sloppy shipper. Also get an extended warranty with the money you saved and enjoy your TV with peace of mind.

Most LEDs have DSE. When the nits go up, the dirt comes out.

Yes, I was just regretting yesterday that I didn't jump on the Cut the Cord day deal (after deciding OLED was too expensive for me).
Jumped on this. Hoping lottery works out (and wife forgives me).

I have one. (55") The image is great when the DSE and banding doesn't distract you. Would I buy one again? Nope. I've learned that I'm highly bothered by DSE. I'm actually planning on selling mine and picking up something better,

Went back and forth in getting a 49" from BestBuy via eBay with code for $300 (tax included) OR from Costco for $325 (tax included). Decided on Costco due to return policy, no restocking, extra warranty. I think that worth the extra $25.

The DSE and quality control on this TV are crazy.

You are much better off getting a Vizio 55" E series for $499:

Who cares? Don't most people use a Apple TV, Roku, Fire TV, etc?
